GRRRRR!!!! Found out my favorite computer game disk is junk and wont insatll

Any of you guys play ihra drag racing for the PC. ive been playing this game for years and think it is the best technical drag racing game out there. ANyway onto my dilema. I recently got a new laptop and went to install it and come to find that it errors at about 71%. I took the game out to find that there is a minute scratch on the label side of the disk and have been told that it is now junk. Ive tried everything ripping it onto 4 diff computers, copying the disk, etc and it doesnt work. Any of you guys have any additional suggestions

There are some places that can re-surface the cds. Average price is around $3.00. There is a place near bestbuy on bluemound that does it. Cant think of the name of it tho.
