thats an outrageous price even with the low mileage. For $41K I would buy a Hemi car of some sort

The GNXs with under 1,000 miles have been trading this year for 50-60k. The higher mileage cars, over 10,000 or so have been 30-40K. 2 years ago you could have bought a 0 mile car for $35k. I'll bet it goes for 45-47K......

Your not going to buy much of a Hemi car for 40k......383 cars are trading for 30-35k..... :goof

The market on the GNX is pricing them in the 50K range. There have been recent sale of similar cars in that price range. These things are really escalating in value. I guess I can see why... they only made 547 of them and of them, how many are left?

I know of 3 that were totaled, stripped or stolen and not with us anymore. 3 more that are salvage rebuilds and one that is a race car with none of the GNX stuff in it anymore except for the dash number. I think most are still out there. I'll bet the average miles of all that are left is under 10k......

Sorry, not the only car to be faster than the vett. In 89 the TTA was under rated because it was also faster than the corvette.

Well, in 1979 the fastest prodution GM car was the 400 4-speed T/A and Forumlas, in 1980 it was the Carbed, Turbocharged Regals, might have been for 81 also....

According to Car and Driver the TTA is still the fastest stock Trans Am ever made...

TTA fact page (http://www.89tta.com/ttafaq.htm#WhyOnly250)

If the TTA really made 300 HP why did GM rate it at "only" 250 HP?

The generally accepted explanation is GM's unwritten rule which states no passenger vehicle shall have a higher horsepower rating than that year's Corvette.

In 1989 the Corvette was rated at 255 HP.
