I decided to test the waters. I ran street tires, and stock Cobra.
I never let the car cool off, I ran hot runs.

2.16; 13.28@108.26
2.17; 13.29@108.48
2.18; 13.26@108.81

Then I put in Predator tune that Larry had in his Cobra. He had to put his stock program back in so I could use it. Took 10 minutes.

2.1; 13.01@99.54 Missed 4th gear and coasted thru traps... :wooo
then..
2.1; 12.95@109.58 .... I am happy with that!!!

Good times Marv!! I'm very glad to see you post this. Your results are right in line with what I typically see at GLD. Thanks for posting this.

Now marv...not to dis you or anything, but you do know that according to some on this board, you must not be a good driver at all. That thing should be mid-low 12's ALL DAY bone stock :rolf :goof

joking with you buddy...great times and wholely what I expected! Now the mod process begins :rockwoot:

Awesome! That 13.01 @ 99.xx would have probably been a really quick time.

Thanx guys. I am very satisfied...well at least right now.
Yeah, that 13.1@99 still bugs me because I know that was going to be my best run. I kept hot lapping the car and I know after the 12.9 it was going to get worse, so I am thinking that could have been at least a 12.8. oh well, I will let the car cool next time.

You are right Valiant. Time to spend money. I want the pulley to be the last mod.

108 traps should be alot faster than that though. Was the track just THAT slippery last night that you couldn't best a 2.1 60' time? Did you drop the pressure/heat the tires at all? Oh yeah, and go get yourself a tri-ax shifter :)

You suck at driving dude, seriously....nah i'm just joking.

With a little more practice you should easily see better numbers...and if the track permits.

With the horror stories of breaking the halfshafts in the independant rear suspension, I babied her out of the hole. Larry broke 2 half shafts, I dont want to break ANY. I can live with 2.0-2.1 60 fts for now. I never saw anything better than that in the TA anyway.

i thought the half shaft horror stories only came from the 99/01 cobras. I heard they beefed up the rear end a ton on the 03.

anyway, good times.

No, they still blow on the new ones, I know a cat that blew like 3 of them. But I don't care, that car still owns, and I want one.

Congrats on the times
