Schmitts gas and go still sells VP race fuels. As for e85 drums I am not sure locally.

Really ?
There should be e85 at all the pumps, a brand new kuiwk trip 8 blocks from me has it, I live in franklin. If you want I can tests it, funny story I'm running e85 for the 1st time so I have to test it anyways ?

Most say "up to 85%". I haven't found one that is e85 until at least summer or late summer. They test at around e60 through spring.

Well this will blow your mind then =p
E85 sensors/testers actually measure the water/gas content of the fuel NOT the ethanol.

Watched that vid, real interesting...
The tester I have is just the glass test tube where you fill it up with 3/4 e85 and rest water and let is separate...

I have a FF sensor on my car that gives me the ready out of % ethanol. Woodmans on howell has been around 80%, andys on rawson and 51 about 78%.
NM just watched the video - interesting thanks for posting. But it seems like the FF sensors are accurate when testing E- whatever as long as its not 100% (which it never is)?

Because I'm confused ( doesn't take much ) what is the difference from your Fancy electronic testers vs. the glass vile method I'm doing ?
Thanks !

Nothing aside from have my standalone be able to automatically adjust the tune based on E content with a flex sensor.

^ what he said ^ - and its a little more convenient at the gas station to just look at a screen instead of getting out a vile and dumping some gas into it. ;)

Tested yesterday and got e83 ish at Kiak trip. I say e83 as the line was under e85. This was on 5 1st and rawson

Might wanna check your fancy dancy in car thingy. I've never seen below 75 in the greater Milwaukee area, regardless of the month.
Stations that sell E well will be 80/85 all day...

Brand new GM/continental flex sensor. I will check tomorrow with a test tube. I know it reads up to 85 because last fall in Ohio I filled up and it was correct.
It also reads pump gas correctly at around 7-9% if I remember correct.

just filled up at woodmans last night, before fill up was 78.4% after it mixed it was reading about 80.7% so it should be about 81-82 coming out of the pump.

LIL EVO, what was your sensor reading at compared to the test, as I believe the sensors have a 5% accuracy so your sensor may be fine just not as accurate as you want. ? My GM sensor is about 4 years old now I guess I never doubted it, maybe I should check it.? Not that there should be too much difference in the tune if it is reading a couple of percent off.
The GM sensor i have is 12570260, it appears they have a few new smaller cheaper models 13577429, 13577379 .
The 5% accuracy i found was the zeitronix sensor, so the GM sensors may not even be 5% accurate ?

It's reading 60%. Sometimes it will get stuck at 20% for a few minutes. 13577394

If this new one takes a crap on you, I'd hate to say try the one I have (12570260) because it is about $350 on ebay (I think i paid about 250 for it from SP). Otherwise I could pull mine off and let you run itto see if it works any better for you. Like I said I have about 4 years on mine.

13582501 is whats spec'd out for my car stock (well, not stock.. L77 instead of L76, but that sensor is effectively the difference)... $60
I started pricing it out but figured its pointless until I get closer to boost.
