So my wife tells me that while she was vacuuming she heard a pop, and the dining room ceiling fan was no longer lit.
I disconnected the switch (this one:http://www.homedepot.com/p/Hampton-Bay-Ceiling-Fan-Wall-Control-9050H/202801200?cm_mmc=Shopping%7cBase&gclid=Cj0KEQiA1NWnBRDchObfnYrbo78BEiQA-2jqBRY4uynbaV782TbeY3IU9k2E3qDuVixD_ysUFCMKoloaAsh i8P8HAQ&gclsrc=aw.ds )
So hardwiring the power feed and the fan together, the pull chain operates the light, but not the fan. I'm guessing the transmitter is smoked, but am not sure if the receiver is too.
Has anyone worked with these switches before? This came with the house so I'm not exactly familiar with em.
