I'm looking for a vented lp garage heater and figured i'd check with you guys first. It's going to be for a 2.5 car garage, and I would like to be able to vent it horizontally. Let me know what you have and how much you are looking to get for it. Thanks in advance!

I just installed one, but not LP, but with every NEW unit they have a conversion spring for LP...

Remember with LP you need a decent size tank with a regulator to lower the psi going into the furnace.

My garage is 22x23 506sq ft.

Even tho I'm in the field and get at cost pricing Good Old menards was cheaper by $100 witch is crazy, I have a 45,000 BTU beacon morris, same brand as sterling. Its a really nice unit.

All of my walls will be R13 with 4ply vapor barrier, ceiling R30 or close to it as well dry walled.

I vented straight up and out, but this can be horizontal...

For $400 I wouldn't even consider a used one

Thanks for the advice! I was looking at this one:

or this one:
http://www.fleetfarm.com/detail/mr-heater-80k-natural-gas-suspended-heater/0000000084797?categoryId=02414

Interested in a side job? If so, how much would you charge to install one of these? I was planning on doing it myself but I don't have too much time lately.

All the extra time I have is going into my project so I just don't have anytime, are you planning on insulating the garage or ????

Everyone and there mother likes to Oversize these, my little 45k BTU with proper ( proper is the key ) insulationbarrier will keep it nice and warm.

Make sure you buy the unit sized correctly for your garage space. You don't want to oversize these. My garage is totally insulated with blown in R30-34 in the celing. Stays nice and toasty. Insulation is the key and so are insulated garage doors!
