Don't do the Shooters Shop one.
I did the free class from wisconsincarry.org. They do classes all throughout WI and did one at JBs on 41 on S 27th. Not sure where/when their next classes are but check out their site.

I did the Utah one Wisconsin Carry put on before we had it here. I wasn't impressed. It felt like the guy was just talking to pass the time so the requirements were met. I'd like to take a better course. I got my ccl with hunters safety card.

My wife and I completed our CC class with Marty at Tycor Defense. Great guy plus has his FFL for transfers, if you have enough people for a class he would come to you to do the class otherwise he does it from his house. He was very thorough and even had dummy rounds to teach noobs how to clear a jam and to properly load/unload/clear chamber. Marty is a member here too. 303-5577 http://www.tycordefense.com/

Anybody do it thru Gander Mountain? Could swear I overheard someone at store pointing at monitors saying it was for CC. Like the idea of learning instead of listening to someone bias veiws if possible. I've been reading rules, sounds worth doing class!

Wisconsin Carry, Inc. does a nice job, and its free, is a non-profit (and unpaid).

Free is my budget, signed up for one this Sunday in East Troy. You can print out the class ahead of time, lots of printable stuff on there site regardless of where you go.

My wife went to the one at WCTC. When she took it they had you use the simulator as well. She was very happy with it. They had and probably still have police firearms instructors.

I thought the WisCarry.org class was very informative. I already had been shooting for years but they had great info for people who were new into guns, like my aunt. My class was very packed probably 150 people showed up.
These CCW classes aren't really teach one all about guns and I felt WC covered more than was necessary which was a good thing.

Studied the printable class stuff and read other online samples. Common sense obviously answers all but there is lots of good info to be read prior/post class.
