View Full Version : Where to get 20" tires mounted

Who would you trust to mount 20" tires and not scratch the wheels? Also can they balance the wheels with weights behind the center section and on the inside flange and actually get them balanced (not just give up and say good enough after several tries). They are 20x9 and 20x10 wheels.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

I've been lurking around here for a long time, finally registered a few months ago and now just finally getting around to posting.

Where are you located?

I'm NW of Milw out near Hartford. But I would consider going anywhere to get someone who actually knows what they are doing. Most of the newer tire machines will do 20's and not scratch the wheels but most guys can't balance the wheels with hidden weights correctly.

I think alot of people have had good luck with this place. http://www.bigbeartire.com/ . One of the members here used to work there, not sure if he still does. Could give it a shot.

+1 with Korndogg. I've had multiple cars done there and they always do top notch work. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll swing by there and take a look.

I'm also open to other suggestions. I have a little time before I need them mounted so I plan to check out a couple places first.

I've had Chris do multiple sets of custom and high end wheels, never an issue. Always super friendly and easy to work with!

Thanks for the replies. I talked to the Big Bear Tire guys and will go with them.

Went to Big Bear Tire last night to get my new BFG Rivals. They did a great job. They are my new tire place for sure. Their tire machine is state of the art. It held the wheel by the lug nut holes (imagine that, holding the wheel the same way it mounts on the car) plus he was able to mount the tires from the back of the wheel to insure no scratches or marks on the front face. Plus they had no problem with hidden weight balancing.
