Any recommendations, oak creek area? Would like some pricing estimates on a mostly dirt/hard packed driveway and garage front area.

Purpose came today and quoted 9k. Otherwise 4500 for the garage area and 5500 for the driveway separately

That seems high, you could probably do concrete for close to that.

Shrug. The garage area is roughly 1300sq ft and the driveway is around 1500-1600.

That doesn't seem to crazy, that is allot of square feet to cover up. I would guess concrete would be 20k plus

Merit won't even give me an estimate. Pitch is too unfavorable and I guess you can't drain anything towards your neighbors in Racine county. Only option he said is a new layer of pea gravel or maybe concrete in the garage area.

I have no Ties to these guys but they did some work down the block from my dads, I saved there number because the work looked clean.

Pro seal quoted $4480 for the driveway portion and $3000 for the area in front of the garage

If you've got cash ready to go, offer to pay cash if they give you a discount. When I bought my house I had section of driveway that was sunken near the garage. They quotd me $1600 to replace that, and $280 to sealcoat the whole driveway. I offered to pay cash, and they did both for $1500.

Every business should be quoting a job assuming they are using a Credit Card, if they are not its not wise !!!

Most companies will provide a discount when paying cash. I always ask for a cash price. I saved around $400 on our landscaping when they graded the lot and did the hydroseed.

I'm going to meet with the village engineer and this estimate I have to see if I can even do it. Will update after that.

Update to this, it was completed in November. Somewhere around 3500 sq ft, concrete, with a curb on the asshole neighbor side. The approach has to be asphalt per the city so that's coming in Spring. It's really fantastic! It's all pitched so everything drains straight to the back corner. No more dust, rocks, or mud.

Quality Minded Construction out of Waterford. They were the cheapest of any contractor and did great work. Even asphalt quotes were not much cheaper than their concrete work. It was 12.5k

That's not bad considering. I would add a row of hedges from the start of your fence to the apron and you will be set! Turned out really nice. Oh and how come you didn't pitch the driveway towards a-hole neighbor? Let him have all your excess water haha

Pro seal out of the falls. They quoted 1200. Everyone else was 2500-3500.

I had ProSeal all come out and seal my driveway. I really like them. Professional and had a good price for a 200ft driveway.

That is a TON of concrete for that money, I'd say you got a deal. Far better then asphalt, thats for sure

I did concrete for a summer and I remember ONE job that was bigger than that.. and that was a 4-unit condo. Thats a hell of a deal.

It looks fantastic, visually Ive seen over priced concrete look worse then what you have, yours is really clean looking. Also looked to be clean guys in general ?

We actually fixed his speedometer awhile back and found out what he did that way. Real down to earth, no lies or fabbed bs. Knowledgeable, he's been doing it for 20-30 years if I remember right.

I have to say I contacted pro seal 5 times since mid feb and they still haven't given me an estimate. Done with them.
