how fast does carfax get updated? I just sold a truck last week, like to know if it was registered yet how fast do they get that info?

all depends on the reporting agency, however the DMV is rather good about reporting.

Thank you. I went to the police station this morning and asked them to tun the VIN. It is indeed still registered to me. This is unbelievable. 2 vehicles in a row I have had a jackass not register. I have the plates in my garage, the current registration expires 4-8-14. I have 2 bills of sale signed and dated by the new owner, with address and phone number listed. She lives in Sauk Prairie, anyone near there to do a search haha. I called the DMV and just like last time, there is absolutely nothing you can do about the new person not registering it. So they are probably driving it illegally with some other set of plates on it. I have called, emailed, and messaged the person who bought it, and haven't heard a word back. I have sold 18 cars before this, never had a single issue, now 2 in a row don't get registered. The last time the douche racked up a bunch of parking tickets and then just abandoned it on a street in West Allis. I am still fighting the tickets, and they were issued nearly a year ago.

I've had that happen too. All I needed to do was fax a copy of the bill of sale to the police station and they made sure the new owner was responsible for the tickets.

I don't use carfax, but I have an Experian Autocheck unlimited for another 2 weeks because I just picked up a Cavy, imo I like their reports better anyway. Anyone need anything ran just PM me your email.
