My truck is on it's last leg. It runs great but to keep it going it's at the point where I would just have to keep throwing money at it. Today, one of my fuel tank straps broke and that was kind of the last straw. I was going to start looking in a month or two anyway.

Anyone recommend any specific dealers or anything like that? I bought my truck from Braeger and the wife's Trailblazer from Holz and both were meh experiences. I know dealers aren't really "dealing" anymore these days since it seems like the price that is on the vehicle is pretty much the price they are willing to let it go for.

Don't be afraid to drive to get what you want. I drove 5 hours to get my 2011 ram 1500 last year. I saved probably $2k and got the options/color/miles I wanted. I found cars.com better than autotrader.

I usually prefer Cars.com but for some reason I can no longer choose multiple years when searching. I can still choose multiple years using the mobile site but the desktop site only lets you choose one year at a time now (as of a few weeks ago).

Lenz has an outstanding selection and specialize in diesels. With that being said, I think the Lenz brothers are dicks. Some of what they sell is garbage, others are outstanding used vehicles.

A few years ago, my friend was looking to buy a 2001 super duty from them. Had 150k miles, had an accident reported on the car fax, alignment was shit. Wouldn't budge on the price, and it was overpriced to begin with.

Screw John Pauls... They have shady business practices... Took my T/A to them for an alignment, they turn around and void my powertrain warranty with GM because my car was "modified". It was because they almost lost their franchise with GM since the head of finance was letting his son modify his car on GMs dime (basically using warranty claims to get performance work done), and GM found out, so they screwed any performance customer that came in to try to ass-kiss GM...

I bought a couple vehicles from John Pauls and I highly doubt I will get another vehicle from them when my truck dies. Unless you buy new the only deals you get is from the manufacture. They will never budge on used car pricing and if you are lucky enough to get them too they act like you are taking food off their kids plate.
