Who is interested in doing the last leg, from Bettendorf IA to the Dells? June 12-13 this year.

It's a 4 hour drive to Bettendorf on the freeway from Milwaukee, then a 2-1/2 hour drive from there to the Dells. I'm really hoping I can get off work (unfortunately it falls on a "vacation blackout" week for me, so I'd have to find someone to cover). I'd really like to go to Bettendorf and stay the night on the 12th, then drive with the group on the 13th up to the Dells, and home that night.

It's $80 to register, and it looks like you can still find rooms in Bettendorf for under $100 for the night. The Bettendorf party takes place at the Isle Casino- and it looks like they still have "economy" rooms available, and in the Dells at Chula Vista.

Anyone done the Tour before? What are the "events" like?

On one hand I'm hoping the RX7 is up to the task, I've driven it to Fond Du Lac and to Kenosha without issue but that was a couple years ago, and I've made some changes since then. On the other hand if my brother is going to take the SuperBee maybe I should just tag along in my Focus as a "support" vehicle- it would be nice to have at least one reliable vehicle along for the ride.

Actually, looking at it- the 2nd-to-last stop is just outside Chicago in Crown Point Indiana... 2-1/2 hours southeast of Milwaukee. It would be even more awesome to do the last two legs.

Milwaukee to Crown Point is 2-1/2 hours
Crown Point to Bettendorf is 3 hours
Bettendorf to the Dells is 3 hours
Dells to Milwaukee is 2 hours

I've been contemplating doing the last 3 days of this year's tour. Two years ago, I did the first 2 days of the tour from Detroit to Muskegon with a couple of friends and we had a blast.

I was in Crown Point, IN a few weeks ago, pretty easy drive since majority of it is going through Chicago.

I'm going to see if we can iron out all the issues on the car and make the haul from Crown point,IN

Is anybody on BCM serious about going? I already booked hotel rooms in Moline,IL (for the Bettendorf stop) and the Dells for the girlfriend and I. Hopefully I'll run into some of you guys on my way to Bettendorf or Wisconsin Dells. Should be a blast.

I am about 75% serious on going. It's all going to come down to how much I can get done in time to make the car reliable enough that I am comfortable making the trip.
