Got a Saturn at work was going to get scrapped needs a motor anyone got some hook ups? Looking online lkq and b&m show nothing. I'd have to call i'm sure. Anyone got something laying around i know we got a few saturn nuts :goof Also what years will all fit i forgot if there are diff. sensors or stuff between the years. I was just going to look for another motor with the plastic valve cover. thanks

Can't you throw an Ecotec in it?

Should specify what year... My little bit if experience with these things proves there is a lot of little variance over the years that make a big deal. Especially if the car is 99+ with the diff head design. 95-97 used another diff head for electronic egr... Also I could not find a good junkyard twin cam motor either, I got a blown up 95 for 150 complete I used for parts to make my 96 whole.

Might just rebuild it too?? I was able to get new rings and even a remaned crank for cheap to get mine going again.

All from 96 up had the plastic valve cover, but again in 99 it's a lot of big changes and not interchangeable with older models as far as I know.

Most of these cars are scrapped with blown up engines due to oil consumption and ignorant owners... So that's why that car suffered that fate and why you will be hard pressed to find a whole motor worth a shit for less than 800.

Whoops thought i did :) its a 2001 new head. I'd rebuild it but unless i can magically make allot of aluminum of the block reappear then i need a motor lol. Realistically i'm sure the head is good but i'd like to just drop in a motor at work and call it good and save some gas ;)

Ahh ok it went as far as ventilation of the crankcase lol. Good luck! Might be easier to find that 2nd gen twin cam vs the original.

2nd gen twin? I've found plenty of motors the yards just want an outrageous amount $1200 for a motor isn't worth it to what the cars worth

99 and up is like the 2nd gen version... Pretty much nothing was left untouched from the original.

I wish this was 2 months ago I would have given you a running '98 engine with the rest of a car. Ironically the only one that did not use oil (in comparison) to my others.
