Cool video especially the sound... not sure what the big deal is though, bone stock 96 Viper GTS went 202 mph and I am assuming many other cars as well? Also, google Hennessey for a fun history of all the people he has ripped off and screwed in the past lol. My Viper was a Venom 1000 previously and it had some evidence of the hack job they did such as literally rough torching clearance chunks out of the frame for the turbo clearance. No idea how they are not only still in business but thriving down there.

Jim, what do you mean your viper "was" a venom?

They are saying its special because it did 200 on the street, albeit a closed perfectly smooth and street.

LOL Hennessey car. I'm with MoparJim the stuff that shop turns out is NOT good quality. Honestly all he did is market the hell out of anything he built when he first got going. So today, that perceived quality still stands. Kinda like how people still think Toyota builds the best cars in the worlds. Toyota built a good reputation over the years and even tho their quality is nowhere near what it once was, americans still think its top notch. There are much better shops wrenching on GM stuff nowadays

I mean the Viper I currently have was an original Hennessey Venom 1000R. That is, until it dropped a few cylinders and ended up at Underground Racing to be repaired. The original owner ended up wanting to just bail on it, and I just happened to be asking Underground about a car they had built that was on Ebay and they told me about the blown up Hennessey car they had in the shop. We worked a deal where I bought the car blown up, had Proline build the engine and UGR do a complete new turbo build. That's the main reason my car has things like the GTSR wing and Autoform faschia - that was Hennessey installed stuff. I also have the Hennessey Venom 1000R seats in there still. What's real funny is I have wondered if mine would be some sort of "collectable" lol I actually am under the impression it might be the FIRST GTS Venom 1000R...

When they were filming F&F 6 they did the same thing. They got permission and shot the part with the tank. Look at how much destruction they did just for that 3 mins of movie. I'm sure they damaged parts of the new bridge and roads. Btw that movie was bad ass, well the most bad ass f&f movie.

Not very safe only holding the wheel with one hand trying to break 200mph. Seems they spent a lot of money in video production for something that isn't that spectacular. I am sure it would be quite easy to make a C7 break 200 with the right builder and HP. Now 300 mph would be special. Car sounds good though. Still don't like them a whole lot yet.

Lol! Way to go guys, take a "better car" and go slower with it.

Yeah, a lighter, more aero dynamic and probably better geared car. Hennessey sucks, none of their stuff really impressed me anyway.

I'd bet the driver has more time over 150mph then you do yanking your crank.

Man, next to the pleasurable screams of pleasing a woman, the sound of a badass car just makes a man happy. That shiz is hella sweet!

Its got to be infused in our brain somewhere, like the ability to drive stick shift with no lessons, hahah.

I've found myself lately a critic of all loud exhaust notes no matter how far away they are. I'm like, man that sounds shitty, or that's sweet as hell! Haha
