October 29th 2013... She was 36 years old. Just had a physical last week and passed with flying colors... Cause of death is not known.... Autopsy currently inconclusive...

I came home and found her passed out paramedics were nable to revive her...

Please say a prayer to whatever GOd you want...hug your kids extra tight... Our daughter is only 4... I know some of you from the old days have met Mimi as she came with to Norwalk and was really close with Barbie.

Thank you.

Please search on Facebook for 'in loving memory of Sonia zilvitis' there will be a balloon release on Tuesday at 5pm any time zone.

I lost my wife this past May. She was 28 and we have 2 kids, 8 and 6 (7 and 5 at the time). It's hard to hear right now but it will get better. As I'm sure you know, it's HARD and while most people understand what you're going through, most don't "get" it (you're thinking some asshole on a keyboard wasn't there to see what I saw, has to console my child, pick out a casket, decide if I should bury my young wife with her wedding ring, pick out her clothes etc......) I absolutely do. As I'm sure you also know by now, everyone will do what they can to help you out. Take advantage of the help offered no matter how hard it is to swallow your pride. Just take the help. Don't be afraid to cry, yell, be mad, sad, take an hour to yourself, pull over on the side of the road and stare at the sky for awhile, go to the batting cages.................. whatever you need to do. Everyone is telling you that you need to be strong for the little one. True, but you need to be "right" yourself before you're any good for a child and that is going to take TIME. Let people help out in the meantime. If you want some real world advise from someone who has been through/is going through the same thing with kids, please don't hesitate to shoot me a PM (I left the Marine Corps because of my wife passing and being a single dad, I'm in Wauwatosa now). I can point you in the direction you need to go, and give you contact information for a great place to take the little one in order to help cope.

Thanks guys. Really appreciate the kind words and prayers...

So I talked to the doc that did the autopsy and he thinks it was primarily her heart. She had an enlarged left ventricle 1.8 instead of a 1.1..... and her heart mas was 330 which he said is 40 to 50 grams higher than it should have been. So he thinks her heart probably developed an aren't him a and blood didn't flow to her brain for a couple seconds and she blacked out and dropped.... probably didn't see it coming and went without pain...

Funny though no history of heart problems in the past... she was taking this diet program called isagenix and a few people contacted me saying that if the autopsy shows any irregularities in her heart to suspect this stuff... so I've already contacted my attorney.

The side effects of these drugs scare the hell out of me :( Can't believe how terrible healthcare in our nation has gotten over the last 30-40 years. Again I'm terribly sorry for your loss, like others have mentioned if theres anything I can help with let me know

Funny though no history of heart problems in the past... arrhythmia's resulting from a hypertrophic heart are the number one cause of death from heart conditions in teens and young adults. Unfortunately, it's not uncommon that the first sign of an individual with congenital hypertrophy is death.

Kyle's Korner is a GREAT organization!

It was started when my cousin was killed by a drunk driver in 1998.
A family friend saw the need to help children and teens cope with the loss of parents and loved ones.
It was a great help for all three of her children.

It has been outstanding for us. In fact, I was thinking about trying to organize a poker run or something in the spring to give something back to the organization. A place like that can ALWAYS use a little something extra and I think a lot of people would get on board with a fund raiser.

Obviously, I am too. Any chance we can get a MOD here to allow us to advertise here on BCM? $100 to get in, $500 purse and $50 prizes at every stop (one for cleanest car, one for widest tires, one for loudest car, one for most obnoxious vehicle etc..........) and end at Miller Park on a Saturday night for a tailgate and a game (I could put my camper in the parking lot at Miller Park for those who have taken too much Miller from Miller Park..............)? 30 people would put a nice check into the hands of a great cause.
