ridiculously easy to get big HP out of...new exhaust, pulley, chip and you're putting down BIG numbers.

On stock internals?

JC70SS
09-28-2004, 12:24 PM
Yep, it is a beefy motor from the factory.

DirtyMax
09-28-2004, 12:28 PM
On stock internals?

Absolutely. You can take it straight from the showroom to the strip and crack off a 12.5 @ 110 pass on street tires with a good driver. Search the web... this is entirely common. Bolt on a set of sticky DR's and do a few minor tweaks and I wouldn't rule out an 11 second pass.

After doing some research, I found that "Nitrous" Pete Misinsky took a 03 Cobra to 10.06 @ 138 at an NMRA event at Bradenton, FL in the spring. I believe this was on stock internals

you havent been keeping up with your BCM reading. :wtf

Couple months ago. Stock clutch burned out (77K on it) and that's when I went nuts modding it.
RX7 pics / upgrades /etc (http://www.brewcitymuscle.com/gallery/MadTownRX-7)

C'mon now.. your words are so harsh. You can't legally call him a trader until he no longer has the WS6. I believe at this point, the proper term is "bi-manufactural"

BTW.. awesome pictures. I bet all the GM folks at Delphi would have loved to see that car getting photographed in their lot. Are they still all anal about GM's only in their parking lots or have they woken up to the fact that the Civil Rights movement was over like 40 years ago...

Ha ha. Its not like that anymore since the split from GM. We actually supply GM, Ford, Chrysler, Isuzu, Toyota now. Delphi makes the new color changing gauges for the 2005 Mustang. Our plant doesnt though.

Oh you actually work there? That's cool.. I thought you were just using the large lot as a convenient place to snap some photos. My uncle Mike works there too.. has for like 30 yrs. He handles all the building and grounds maintenance (lawn, snow plowing, pretty much anything I think). That place sure has gone through a lot of changes over the years!

Heack yeah!!
I know Mike. He has that HUGE house in Caledonia. He was supposed to landscape my lawn for me. I think he has the highest seniority in the whole place. He is a gearhead too :)
Dang, thats amazing you recognized the parking lot

2003 10th Anniversary SVT Cobra (Brand New) Stock, but not for long. Hey marv...PLEASE, before you start modding your cobra...take it to the track and see what it runs bone-stock. PLEASE.

nice buy! Those things are heavy pigs but the longblock can handle 1000hp out of the box!!! They are in the low 9's right now and I am sure will dip into the 8s before long with stock longblocks!!!!

BTW, isn't Delphi in Oak Creek planning on shutting down in a few years? Do they have any opening as well lol - i just got laid off :(
