Bought another TDI.

So my daily searches for TDI's on CL finally turned up something decent. Got a great deal on this and it's only got 110K on the clock. Also comes accompanied with over 100 pages of service records and a recent timing belt change. It's got a smaller tank than the Passat but the mileage is still great. First tank got me 44MPG which is slightly worse than the Passat but still not bad. Ordered some new wheels which should be here tomorrow. Oh and being a southern car it has zero rust.

If so, is it still kickin around and how many miles is it up to?

lol I wish! That sob sold it before I could even look at it. But I ended up finding a guy in Madison that had a collection of them and that's where I ended up getting the 96. He was a nut too. I have an encyclopedia of service records for that car as well.

You can't go wrong. It's just impossible finding the damned things used. It's like the ones you do find weren't taken care of and are plagued with issues. I would hop in the 96 and drive cross country right now if I had to.
