Ok, so I have Spybot, and I have Norton 2004. I run Spybot and remove the Adware it finds. Then I run Norton, and it finds like 6 more "threats"... Cool, but I can't delete them. Everytime I try, it tells me "Delete failed." Now is there something I can do to finally get rid of them all?

Also about Norton 2k4.. I set up a different time and day for a full system scan then what it chose. Now it won't scan anything unless I set up a manual scan. What did I do wrong???

nope... you need to do it in safe mode. hit F8 while your booting.

or get smarter than the application and shut it down. you cant delete it becuase it more than likely running.

start>run>type "msconfig" click the startup tab> disable all> then reboot run norton and then it should delete them.

Do this at your own discretion. If your computer blows up, you have been warned. It is soley your fault if you do this and she dies! :D

when all else fails, hijack this! in safe mode and when that fails - whip out the mad regedit skillz, yo with a side of smart searching

Do you have TV Media?


Another way is to go in add/remove programs in safe mode and start removing stuff like crazy.

I had 2 instances of the same prog/adshit running at once...and when i deleted one, the other would re-create it instantly & vice-versa.
THAT was a tricky mofo to get rid of... had to stop 1 from running in Task Mgr. while quickly using keyboard combo's to stop the other one after saying yes to shut down #1.
