Figure some of you might get a kick out of this. Just got an Evolve electric longboard. I got it yesterday and have been out all day yesterday and all afternoon today. It handles and carves just like a surfboard or snowboard.

The evolve is the most lightweight, "best" on the market so far that I've seen and researched. Up to 20-22mph, 20 mile range.
If you want one now, you have to order it from the Evolve Asia site. Shipping takes about 6-9 days. The Evolve USA office in Michigan isn't shipping orders out until Late August at the earliest.
