Got the LQ4 & 4L80e for the Syclone and figure a rebuild and shiftkit will hold the power goals for the immediate future before I need to hop into something series like a Rossler and what not. But wondering who around here can be trusted to do a proper rebuild?

I had Tom do the re-build on my 4L60e after my converter shredded itself, I would think he could do an 80e. I ordered the internals and shift kit that I wanted him to use, its got close to 20k on it since the re-build and it is still holding and shifting stong.

You may want to stop in at LMT there in Waukesha to see what they can do for you or who they would reccommend in the Waukesha area.

Always a fan of Kilpatrick's just off sunset dr in Waukesha. They did a terrific job rebuilding the trans on the LRT; Good turnaround time and reasonable cost for what was done.

Automatic transmission design swapped a built 4l80e into my bosses silverado ss and so far it's holding up great to his 505hp at the wheels.

I guess I should have specified I was looking for transmission shops in specific. ATD fits the bill. I saw in a previous thread J&R transmission & Great Lakes Transmission. Any preference to any of these transmission guys?

J&R seems out of business, $1650 ATD & $1250 at Great Lakes. Both were good to talk to.
