I finally broke down and ordered some new turnsignal housings for the ta since the other side cracked in the middle. I was going to pull the other ones out and tint them to match the rest of my lights but now i'm not sure would it look odd blacked out like all the other lights and not the fogs or would it look cool? If i'm going to do it i'm going to do it before i drop these ones in the car so i'll have to ponder a bit. What do you guys think? opinions constructive criticism welcome.

Nice tinted tail lights. Nothing says "Hit my car!" like making it difficult for those behind you to know you're stopping.

You can clearly see the brake lights. so i'm not worried haven't had any problems since i did them. I took the old ones out and quickly sprayed one of them with 3 lighter coats it looks dark but i can see the silver thru the tint so i think it would look ok. I put the new one on the other side to compare. excuse my lighting i don't have much to work with :goof

I have yet to hear of someone getting rear ended because their tail lights were tinted.

No tint. I think it looks dumb the more I think about it. I like the clear look of the lights. Only thing I will change is not have the TA turn signals in front be on all the time. Just a single filament bulb that are only on when the turn signal is on. My truck came with tinted tails and I am having it removed.

I went with tint as i liked the look of the black looks like a vent with the lights off. Also threw on the stripes i had laying around for some time.

Ban everything that has ever resulted in property damage or death. That leaves... air! Flawless logic.

edit : sorry forgot about hurricanes. Ban everything.

My truck weighs 6500 pounds and prolly doesn't stop half was well as your Cobra. I firmly believe I could smash into a stopped car at 20mph totaling it and have my truck be drivable. It's in your best interest to let those behind you know you are slowing, stopping or turning.

It's pretty negligible though don't you think? I just don't think you need everything to be perfect. Otherwise why not make all cars fire truck colors and make them have reflective safety tape?

Still not gonna save you from a 16 year old Asian texting.

How do you do this just swap the bulb or am i looking at replacing the sockets and the bulb I dislike the DRL's as they tear up light bulbs being on full bright all the time.

Swap em out for LEDs. I put switchbacks in mine. DRL is still yellow but once the headlights come on the running light is white.
