Magnificent Mile Chicago...Recomendations?

Im thinking of taking the wife down there for our 2nd Anniversary.

Anyone have suggestions for hotels, resturaunts etc? Not looking for the 5 star places, nor the 1 star.

We stayed at the Amalfi Hotel. It's within walking distance from the mile and Navy pier. We stayed in the corner room and loved it. Went across the street to the Harry Caray restaurant and ate the best steak I ever had.

Here are some pics of the room in case you are wondering how it was. I believe it was about $240/night. They took care of us there too. When I booked online, I said it was our anniversary and they gave us a free (mini) bottle of wine and a couple other little free food things. They also have free cocktails at night with food. I think that is every Saturday night?
