eh, I would probably wait til it rains to take out the vette.......I mean if it was a little older, then sure. But I'm guessing you're chomping at the bit to get your newest on out. Did you take delivery of the new one yet?

Agreed. I care about my toys to much to bring them out early. Ive waited all winter, a few more weeks wont hurt

I was kind of surprised by all the bike and nice cars out this weekend. The salt is one thing but there are pot holes the size of small cars out there I would be more worried about.

I still see plenty where a salt truck was stopped for more than a few seconds.

Random question (kind of thread related): would anyone here daily drive a 2011+ mustang GT year-round?

Sounds like something an animal would do.

Lots of salt down here. Can see it at every intersection. Seems like a lot of people have gotten their cars out for the season however

I wouldnt. Ive seen how poorly Mustangs are put together and how fast they rust under the rear bumper cover.

DNT H8 and Animal: How does it do? I'm guessing you have a set of winter tires and maybe a few bags of sand in the trunk. Do you do anything special to keep the salt off? Ever get stuck, spin out, etc.?

My dad drives his '11 v6 mustang year round and loves it. He doesn't put sandbags or anything in the trunk. He says it can be tough at times to get the wheels to grab but overall he's happy with how it drives in the shit.

Nothing in the trunk. Car does just fine with a set of snows. Never spun out never got stuck and I drive it in everything. Traction control really kills the snow fun factor but you almost can't get into trouble with it on. I have no problem at all with it. I drove my last one through the snow too and no prob with salt there either. Cars are just made better now versus the "rusty jones" days lol.

What Animal said same here.... except I ran all seasons. But I just came from Buffalo, NY and winter driving there is much worse, I did like to run with a full tank of gas to push the limits a lil though.

Now with that being said Ill be getting a winter beater next year cause they really lay on the salt here... even if its "in the forcast" to snow and dont they spray 2 inches of salt... NO Thanks

I don't see a lot of salt but a nice rain storm will help to clear any excess dirt away. Spend to much time keeping the car clean just to drive it right now.

call for rain saturday and next week mon. tues. I probably won't pull the car and bike out until we get the ok to move into our new house. Then i'll bring em out to move them from my moms "storage" garage

Street sweeper came through last night and there was deffinately a salt residue or "windrow" that he pushed away from the curbs by my house. So, still a little out there if you have a really good paint job.
