Adult Tonsillectomy

Anyone else have your tonsils removed? I'm 2 weeks post-surgery, worst pain of my life. Obviously at this age there has to be a good reason to remove them, mine being sleep apnea and frequent tonsillitis. Anyone else here go through this?

My dad had that done, it didn't work so well with him either so they put them back.

Had mine out when I was 20. Didn't think it was bad at first, but then I was in a lot of pain for awhile. Pain pills took the edge off.
