Looks like an HK G3. A little Google Fu confirms. Great weapons, used by many militaries worldwide. 7.62 NATO (.308) round packs a good punch and has great range.

Yep,it was. I love the roller locked guns.
You can buy a PTR for less money than a used HK. Or a few years ago you could build one cheaper yet. I built my CETME from a parts kit for under $300 with a brand new barrel. Now barrels go for that much.

Yep, me too ! Thanks for the info on that gun guys. I'm not surprized that it's a .308 as I knew it had to be a pretty big calibur as the magazine is so big. Lots of cool guns in the movie heat but, that one just is a total bad mother facker !!
