Late March the girl and I would like to go...

I would imagine Vegas Is hurting for business so what the best approach to start planning a trip there ?

I would like a nice place to stay in a centrally located area, hell I don't even know the area :rolf

Any advice on where you stayed or tips would be great, thanks much !

I love Vegas ! I would stay " on the strip " as that is where the best sights and action is. Lots of deals for Vegas. Last year I went for 4 days 3 nights at Bally's for only $415 with round trip airfair. One thing is you will have to wear good walking shoes and depending what time of the year you go there if it's hot wear light colored clothes. We went in August and it was 108* there with only 10% humidity and let me tell you that that low humidity makes a TON of difference for the better compared to the high humidity but, lower temps we get here. When you go I suggest the Mirage Hotel casino Beatles " LOVE " show, it's by far the most incredible show I have ever seen anywhere !.

Try bookit.com and expedia....Whats your budget and when u going?

Vegas is not hurting as bad as you think. Deals are out there but, u have to hunt.

They may be hurting or not, but the airfare at that time of year to anyplace that is warmer than us is going to kill you! I have checked Vegas, Fl, Phoenix....all are insane.

Vegas is NOT hurting.

We like to stay 'on-the-strip'....
Treasure Island, Mirage, New York-New York, Harrahs, and Flamingo are all the places we've stayed and liked.
Avoid Caesars Palace, they have the most unfriendly & rude people working there.

Check www.southwest.com for airfair and hotel deals....

I love LV but I haven't been since 06. Definitely stay on the strip but don't stay at the Stratosphere. I did once and there's a apartment building behind it that is a drive through drug store. LOL. I've been there over ten times and I had more fun when I stayed and played on the "old strip". Look up some atv rentals its a blast riding over there. The landscape and views are amazing for sure. Also make sure theres no conventions going on when you plan to go. They drive up the airfare and hotel prices.
