Anyone ever hear of Mainus construction out of Waterford?

I'm looking to get a shed built. Anyone have one done recently? Store bought junk and build-it-myself is out of the question.

They are writing up a price estimate. Is there any general guideline or range for pricing?

Talk to Hank at Shedwerks. He built mine and few of my neighbors sheds. It is a 10x12 and was completely done in one day. Very easy to work with and a really nice guy. Everything fits nice and is quality constructed. I have the link to there below.

Built one in the fall. Went to Menards and tossed everything in the computer, they delivered the material and gave me the plans, never build one before and me and my roommate had it done in a weekend. we did a 12 x 18 and had cement poured for the floor. I did shop around and it wasn't the cheapest but they had the best plans, support and made the process easy. Thats my experience anyway

You can get a real garage in a box from Menards for that.

yeah, but don't forget you need to put that $4,000 garage on a $4,000 garage slab.....

That four grand buys you a pile of materials in your yard.

There are so many variables...

Was that $4k from cement to shingles ????

If so that price is not out of this world

No cement

Vinyl aluminum siding, shingles, 5ft wide, 6ft 8" door,

Floor: pressure treateed 4x4, 2x4 12" OC, 1/2" BCX plywood floor
Walls: 2x4 16 OC, 8 foot walls. Wall sheathing 7/16 OSB
Roof: 2x4 24" OC 1/2 OSB

12' x 16' = $4200
12' x 14' = $3900
12' x 12' = $3675

His basic 12' x 16' 6 foot wall shed is $2685. Not sure what increased the price by $1500

ive been tempted to bend some tubing and lay a few sheets of aluminum over it myself. how fancy does a shed need to be just for some lawn furniture.lol
those cheap ass plastic sheds are way overpriced without a doubt.

Would you like to test your shed building skills in my yard? How much beer do you want?

$1200 covers the vinyl siding and siding installation.

Without cement that price is steep in my opinion but that's just bench talk...

You know what my buddy just built a shed from ground up, no concrete as oak creek would then want permits as its considered another building xxx code bull shit. I will ask him tomorrow what he spent on his, granted he did it all himself.

Ahh didn't even pay attention....

Are you wanting this on cement or just a raised treated floor ?

LIL EVO

Raised treated

Going with yourshedbuilder.com out of McHenry IL. Same shed was about $700 cheaper than Mainus.

Of course the village of caledonia had to step in and go over his plans with a fine tooth comb. That added about $200 to the project otherwise it would've been $900 cheaper.

Caledonia mandated a pressure treated floor.

So $120 went to racine county for the permit, another $100 went to Caledonia for their "permit".

In the end the shed was spec'd out to match the house and garage with the same white vinyl siding and shingles and at 12x16 with 8 foot walls should be able to hold everything I need.

I would think anything but Treated for the Floor would be #1 worst mistake you could make in any shed hovering over dirt !!!

Take pictures if you can...
