I want to upgrade to HID lighting in the Crown Vic. Stock light output is a damn joke.
I read this old thread from 2010 http://www.brewcitymuscle.com/forum/showthread.php?49463-hids-again/page2&highlight=hid+lights

But it seems like DDM is either gone or not cheap anymore. What are some current places to get good quality Bixenon HIDs from??

Thanks,
Tom

OK, I found DDM tuning. But price is up to around $75.00 bucks and i am not quite sure I am getting all the correct stuff. Also seeing that my car may require Canbus Ballasts. Anyone know what the difference is between the two.

I put that special harness that dude on crownvic.net makes along with Silverstar Ultra bulbs and that made a huge difference over the stock set up on my 05 SAP P71. I'm not saying it's anywhere as good as a HID set up would be but, for $150 total investment it was a easy way to get my headlights to be MUCH brighter.

i use DDM in the stangs. I've ran them for about 4 years now, their customer service is fucking horrible, but the prices are reasonable and shipping is slowwwww. I would not recommend getting their hi/lo bulbs, ive seen them in a couple vehicles and they don't work for crap.

I have the 55w kits in my cars.....same ones in each car for over 2 years and no issues.

I am considering going to a Projector conversion. I just know nothing about doing the conversion. What costs are involved. I've only seen one premade projector HID headlamp assemblys and the quality was not good. This will have to be a total conversion if I go the projector route.

Do you know if they will sell a package with new headlight assemblies. Found everything else but that on the site. Considering buying a package with the conversion already done so I just have to wire the ballasts when the headlamp assemblies arrive.
