Simply time.

It's funny that when they were new, I always thought the third gens were a little overrated by most. Now over 20 years later, I think most people underrate them. Good looking car.

Thanks!
With me driving heavy haul and having 3 kids i have not had time.
But i am going to change that and make time to get the LQ9 in there finally.

But i am going to change that and make time to get the LQ9 in there finally.was part of a Lq9 swap into a 95 ck1500...turned out great (owner has had a couple glitches, but nothing too major). Very happy with the power in a 4500lb truck. Probably more than doubled his RWHP from the previous 205hp 350....Sure it'd be killer in that ~3klbs GTA!

I agree from a styling point of view.

I'd even argue performance...though not so much the earlier pre-87 third gens.

Nowadays people like to remember them as dogs, but even by today's standards they weren't too bad.

They were good stoplight to stoplight cars as they made more torque than HP.
