Found a 2008 Mustang Roush 427R Track Pak today. Coupe. Seems to be pretty rare as it says 100 made on a plaque.

I don't know fords, with 33k and good shape what would this be worth? 24? 25?

It's a nice car, and should hold its value but, for that kind of money, you could consider the Coyote!!!

True the new 5.0 12s are sweet but plentiful. This is a bit rarer, and more hp, and it's fun being blown. think its worth 25k?

I was more curious about their mph versus their time since it's more indicative of power.

I had the same thought and looked up what I could find....

Ima thinking it's not entirely accurate representation...

Swear I ran that track above in the black Omni at a SDAC event, maybe Cinnci or Kentucky area.

Car should be a 12.80-13.0 stock.

This is a bit rarer, and more hp

The Roush only has 15 more hp and 10 more tq than the Coyote.....and that's WITH boost!

Coyote is cheating, on the plus side for the Roush it is a pulley and a tune away from another 100 hp.

Lol @ cheating. The Roush would need the extra 100hp when the usual tune and exhaust puts the Coyote's numbers at the tire. :)

Right but your still behind in every other strut, sway bar, brake department, and again monor pulley and tune is another 100 hp easy. not to mention its making more torque down low.

Right, and it would need the extra 100hp to keep with an N/A Coyote lol.

Hows about Roush for Roush? The 2011 Roush would spank the 2008 Roush, mod for mod.

yeah but thats not what we are talking about, the trak pak is way far out in front handling and braking compared to a coyote, and again someone buying a trak pak is more concerned with handling than straight line, the trak pak with less hp and tq at road america would stomp the shit out of the coyote period

Not disagreeing but, I would love to see it. I get what you are saying though.

meh,

my cobra ('04) dynoed more bone stock, than a 427r, back when i was stock. for $25k, you should get a new coyote mustang. add exhaust/tune/bolt-ons, and you'll be right where the roush is, even with that pulley--trust me. those 427r's were/are overrated

Reverend Cooper

Yeah and at Road America the trak pak will still stick a dick in youre coyote

Mustang vs Mustang debate....wow.

Personally (obviously not that it matters since I'm a Saab owner now :rolf) I'd buy the Roush. Special edition Mustangs tend to hold their value better. Plus the 427R is a pretty sweet car. Everyone and their grandma can go out and buy a current 5.0 GT... Not everyone can go and buy a 4 year old 427R, since they didn't make that many.

Just sayin.

Sure they can. They are for sale all the time! I've read on a few forums of guys ditching them and other specialty mustangs for the 2012+.

24 or 25k for that Trak Pak would be a pretty good price. There were only 100 made, only n 2008. I have #73. With a pulley, cai and tune you'll be at around 500 at the motor. Other cars may be faster in a straight line, but they won't be able to keep up on a track. Roush put over 10,000 miles into the development of the Trak Pak. It's no regular 427R. Coilovers, 6 piston front brakes, tru track rear diff, brake cooling dicts, strut tower brace, hi temp brake fluid, the wing that at speed produces at least 100lbs of downforce, 3 gauge pod with shift light, and hawk brake pads. It has more adjustability in the suspension than a Boss 302, and it has better brakes.

I sold mine in 2011 to buy a 2010 Roush Stage 3 and then a 2008 Roush P-52. Both were faster with over 600hp, but they just weren't the same, so I bought my Trak Pak back.

Here's mine out on the track. It's the only Black and White one made.

With a brembo package coyote (option 55D) Id say it would put it on par with this Roush.

Here is whats all included with the 55D brembo package:

The 4 piston Brembos don't compare to the 6 piston Trak Pak brakes with the 14" 2 piece slotted rotors and cooling ducts. Plus the Brembo package isn't adjustable in shock stiffness or ride height like the Trak Pak. And it doesn't have any aero. No stock GT will keep up with a Trak Pak on the track. Friends that track their Trak Paks more than me are always passing Boss 302s in their run groups.

Cant argue that... Koni yellows and springs was one of my first mods.

However the 4.6 is garbage. But that's a hole different discussion ; )

I would have to disagree with that too. The 2010 Roush Stage 3 and 2008 Roush P-51 I had both made over well over 600hp at the motor stock. The P-51 put down 565/525 and the Stage 3 545/520. And they both had plenty of room to grow.

You can make power with the 4.6. It has been proven....
