View Full Version : HVAC , need furnace help

ok i have a 2 yr old goodman 40k furnace that this past week locks out and has to be reset. it gives me an error code of e6 then e1 and ends up at e0 lockout. after reseting the system by shuting the power off to it, it will start up and run normal. right now its flashing between lo and 7. any hvac people got some time and wanna make abit of cash? live near butler. call or text me pls. im off thursday and fridays.

If you don't have the manual for the furnace look up the goodman website. They should have the manual for your model online and it'll give you the codes. at least thats a start

After a quick search both look like flame codes try cleaning flame sensor lightly with emry paper first and I will keep checking if needed.

Clean your flame sensor with a $1 bill don't use emrery cloth you will put micro scrapes in it and then the flame rod will be prone to get dirtier

Also lo 7 just means its in lo stage spinning at 700 cfm

I will guess your furance model is as follows

thanx for the input, but i would rather pay someone qualified to do the cleaning and troubleshoot/fix it for me so its done right. the guy that put it in for me came out last year without any tools to check it out the first time i turned on the air. anyone need some xmas money?

1. Turn off furnace
2. Remove access panel.
3. Remove flame sensor.
4. Clean flame sensor. (Steel wool or Scotch Brite)
5. Install in reverse order and restart furnace.
Done!!

Dude don't be scared its as easy as changing a light bulb.
