had my S trim rebuilt and upgraded to a SI trim and tossed it on a few weeks ago... was hoping for around 425-450 rwhp...but ended up laying down 564 rwhp and 500 tq at 14.3psi...yikes!!! sooo unexpected..I didn't believe the guy when he told me...last time I had it tuned was at 387 rwhp..so i wasn't expecting much more....this was only a pull...not a dyno tune...I gained 147 rwhp with a different crank pulley(IW 10% overdrive) and SI trim upgrade....I didn't care if it blew since i have a new shortblock for winter....once I get the graph Ill post it....530 corrected rwhp

combo:

stock block and trans..crazy I know
blow thru SI trim fmic 42lb injectors..mid pipe catback throttle body

didn't get the graph on vid but here's a 1/4 run I did

No, not really. Teksid blocks can hold quite a bit more that that lol. Rods are the weak link.

Nice numbers!!! I know they are kind of the bastards but I love the B heads!

+1, the blocks are rated at like 1200hp or something arnt they? the cranks are forged as well. then there are the rods and pistons, hypereutectic crap... lol

That the block won't be any good when rod goes through it.

If the rod has a catastrophic failure, absolutely. If you spin a rod bearing, not necessarily.

Nothing a set of Boss Rods or a used set of 03/04 rods couldn't take care of ;)

So how much bigger of a wheel was installed? And what psi where you at before?

Im not sure the difference from the S trim impeller and the SI trim...but I was at 7.8 psi before the bigger crank pully and SI upgrade

I think by the "block" he means the "short block" or rotating internals. Teksid block is strong, that rotating assembly is not really to up that level. However OP has a beastly short block ready to go!

Yes and no. The crank is forged, the pistons albeit cast, can hold quiet a bit as long as you don't rattle it. The rods.... yea, they're junk.

Let's put it this way, in the hands of someone who wants to actually drive their car, would you be betting for or against that motor holding for the next year? I'll take that bet for cash :loser

That being said, Jay I'll take your engine block if you don't blow it up!

Yes I meant the short block, owning one and rebuilding it 2 times I know what if forged and what isn't and what the actual block can handle.... I do apologize for not being clear.
