Who here last night watched the NBC Pilot show "Revolution"?

What did you think about it and do you think it stands a chance in becoming a series?

From the commercials for the show, I didn't understand why they would use swords and crossbows...
I would think that it would be much easier to find modern guns.

Swords don't need ammo?

I'm thinking because it was set 16 years after the outage happened, maybe most of the ammo and semi-auto's were used up or confiscated by the Malitia or whatever it was called. I had teh same questions though.

Yeah, but think about it... where would you go to find a sword right now?
It's not like they are laying all over waiting to be picked up.

Anyway, the jury is still out for this show....

Same here, lol.

Abrams also said in an interview he wanted to stray from modern guns in post-apoc shows, as it's been overdone.

I watched it. Supposedly all electric devices are not useable. Cars quit running as they are computer controlled and have electric components...wouldn't a Model T or other old car still run? I mean you crank start it, it has a magneto instead of a coil. I'd be heading to the nearest old car museum.
