Has anyone gone to speed inc, or know of someone who has for dyno tuning? Opinions? Was it worth the $450? Results? I was going to do a mail order tune with tsp($250), but then my car would be down(or next day air$$) another $75 to put it on the dyno and if the results are less than good, i'm screwed. I know i could buy edit for 450, but i'd rather leave it up to the pros right now. tia-garrett

Im sorry but mail order tunes are not always a right on science. The good guys go back and forth with alot of datalogging and if the customer does something wrong or if there is miscommunication then that prolongs the process.

You WILL NOT find anyone better in the midwest better than Jim, our GM tuner.

This is a video of his car on friday. 142mph 1/4 mile in his 357ci LT1 that still has ice cold air conditioning.

I don't think the 150 reflash includes adjusting the fuel trims and what not for bigger cams etc. It looks they just disable vats, rear o2's, adjust shift points for auto's and stuff like that, I could be wrong though. I'll be calling them tomorrow. What would be the best "bang for the buck" for my engine- tr 224 cam + boltons? i really need some more rpm's as my car hits the factory redline in 4th before the 1/4, my small (25.5" tall) tires and mazda 4.10 rear don't help much either.

TR224? Thats funny. We've been using 224/224 .581/.581 and similar variation cams since way back. I just put a 224 style cam in my own car and with headers picked up 73RWHP without a full tune (running 12.5 A/F).

Whats the year/trans and other mods?

A 224 can still be very driveable.

It's an '01 ls1/t56 with some bolt ons, no emissions and shortie headers. the only driveablity issue is that i have to give it a little throttle on cold start up for about a minute. Otherwise it runs great and pulls hard. How much could i expect with a full tune(made 357/370)?
