I've rented a trailer from U-haul half a dozen times and never had my tow vehicle inspected.

If the website won't let you book it, just plug in a different vehicle.

Probably shoots their insurance policy though. Hah.

ive used toms a bunch in the past until i just bought one from them. They will probably say the same thing about your jeep cause most of their car haulers are pretty heave to begin with even if your hauling the beetle it will probably be about 4000+ lbs towing weight. my trailer empty is 2500. unless they have an aluminum for rent u might need to keep looking.

Penske used to only rent car haulers if it was being pulled by one of their rental trucks. That was about 2 years ago. I have been using uhaulmfor the past 5 years and never had a problem. Yes they do restrict what you tow with. Find a dealer that is willing to listen and work with you or borrow a truck to pick it up and switch it out.
