anyone good at tv repair? or know someone who is? i bought a used dlp on cl and replaced the bulb. not i cannot get tv to reset lamp timer so i can use it. power supply powers up and you can hear ballast click to fire lamp but doesn't seem to be working. i keep reading that i need to reset lamp timer but it won't let me. it's a samsung tv. any ideas let me know.

I have not needed to reset the lamp timer on my samsung dlp after replacing the lamp. Mines an 56" 1080p dlp.

all the dlp forums and such i've visited said i must do it especially with a samsung.

I wonder if you can reset it by unplugging the TV and pulling some internal battery?

supposed to be able to reset tv and lamp timer by restarting using a series of numbers pushed on remote before starting up tv. isn't working. wondering if my ballast may be bad. really don't feel like pulling tv apart. nor do i want to pay shop costs to fix something thats really easy. lol
