Andy Griffith passed away today.

rip...thought he'd have a few more years in him...he actually kept quite busy in the last 4-5 years.

I rate him right up there with the Duke!He's an American Icon, no doubt...at a time where most of the country had a very dim view of southern culture (yes, worse than they do now...), they still loved Sheriff Andy Taylor (Griffith) and watched him every week.

I must say, for maybe the first time ever in my life. I am truly sad upon hearing about a 'celebrity' death. RIP Andy.
