Rear end of this nova is posi, was told 4:11
For the hell of it and peace of mind I'm pulling the plug and changing the gear oil, question is what weight should I use and from what I have read there is an additive ?

I'm a big fan of Torco, but I have no idea if it'd be appropriate in your application..

75W-90 and if it's a posi you need friction modifier so it will slip properly.
I use redline or amsoil

Using Torco with type F modifier in my GTO Per Diff Technics in OZ and having great results. Royal Purple lasted a season then lost its friction grabbing power.

I like the Napa gear oil with a bottle of the GM posi additive. Get it from a Chevy dealer at the parts counter. Expensive but works great
