YAY! the Army Truck is Stuck!! in a hole down by our river, the hole is about the size of a Mini-Cooper...i wish the digital camera would focking work...grrr. but anyways i was driving it and my dad thought that it was dry down there, well the grass is about 7 feet tall and because the grass isn't cut it's still wet. The dirt is up to the bumper and up to the steps on the side it's in there pretty damn good! We are gonna see tomorrow if we can hook the winch up to 2 trees and get it out the thing is the winch lever is under the front of the truck and i don't think we can get under it. :stare other wise my option was to dig the Biatch out...that might take a while though. :goof but i'll tell all ya'll what ends up happening tomorrow...

Sounds like you need a Hemtt wrecker now to help you out(thats what the army would use to get it out) I would help you out but I dont think they would be happy with me if I borrowed it, lol

That would be a good choice, I know a Recovery MTV wouldnt cut it. But honestly I think it would be much better if a M88 was used :D

96S10,

Thats what I used to drive, well the old version of the M88. But then I switched to a DS unit and I do more wheel stuff than track.

Intel,

That truck in the vid is pretty impressive. But Axel to axel the hemtt would kick its ass. M984E1 weighs just short of 50,000lbs, and will tow another one just like it at 60 mph as long as you keep fuel in it. Lock it down in Low Range, 8 wheel drive and it would pull that sled anywhere it wanted to, no mater what the sled operator did to it.

If all else fails, buy a mile of some strong rope and a compound winch. Make sure that you get one with lots of pullis so you can multiply your strength. It'll take some time, but you can git er done.

This thread is pretty funny if you think of it as watching some sort of Super hero cartoon.

Will the dinamic dual get the truck out before hundreds of orfines starve to death? Tune in next time

its more like the homepage of Ask Jeeves when it comes to trying to figure out your posts Scott...

"Jeeves...what is an orfine?"

Jeeves reply:
An orfine is a form of ranking for a female. A phrase that has become a word in this instance. A slang phrase used to describe the physical appearance of a girl. For instance, one guys says to his friend, "man I was drunk last night off all that Zima...I don't remember what the chick looked like that I was making out with. Was she just OK orfine?"

Jabo,

Its not all that hard to get a 2.5 ton or any other older military truck. Your going to have to spend more than $1000 espicaly if you want one that is in halfway decent shape. They are auctioned off at DRMO sites all over the country. There are also companys that sell refurbished ones that are in better shape but sell for $5-10k. Do a search on yahoo for DRMO and Military surplus and you will find a ton of stuff.

Oh yeah, the hard part of buying one is getting it home. they weigh to much to tow with a normal truck so if its not driveable you need a tractor trailer or something.

[QUOTE=PonyKiller87]Jabo,

Its not all that hard to get a 2.5 ton or any other older military truck.

I have seen them on the web and I do appreciate the help. I thought maybe this guy was pissed off enough at the truck and just wanted to get rid of it.

You know how it is when you put a ton of hours on your car or truck and you break one more thing and it just about puts you over the edge.

And I hope this thread lives until the truck makes it out!!

LONG LIVE THIS THREAD!!!!!!!
