Took my rears in to have my new DR's mounted and balanced and found out both my rear rims have flat spots in them. I don't know how I haven't noticed them, but you can see with the naked eye that they are bent. Looks to me like a previous owner hit a curb with them. Never had a wobble or odd tire wear, even now with them balanced, you don't feel it, but I'm picky and I want them fixed or replaced. Where did you go, suggest, prices, outcome.....

I contacted this company (http://www.awrswheelrepair.com/milwaukee/) and there turn around is same day and it's $110 a rim. I'm thinking about having the rims repainted and the little bit of curb rash taken care of right away also.

I want other opinions before I jump the gun.

Thanks for your time,

Jason

Isn't that very near the cost of one of those rims new? ('98 Cobra)

I bought my 98 Cobra rims from here. I purchased the last of their clearanced 10.5" polished wheels but the regular price rims are not much more.

Yes it is, but I wanted the exact rims I have, just in the 10.5 rear. I don't care for the rivets and other designs. It seems that all the aftermarket rim makers are "out of stock" of the plain silver '98 cobra's and have been for some time That being said, I also don't have the extra spending money at the moment to buy the new set so this will have to do. With the way it hooks with these DR's, I don't think I need the 10.5 unless it's for looks so I might just fix and refinish mine and keep em. Cheaper in the long run and they are still an OEM rim.
