Anyone know where I can take these to get appraised? The one box has never been opened the other are the full collections, uncirculated. I believe they are 1985,1986 and 1987. I have no idea where to start and I don't want to handle them.

The stuff isn't worth much. Probably less than they cost new if not the same. No one wants anything unless it's pre 50's

Sounds like Under PSI is right. $14 buy it now for a 1987 set.

Pretty much dead on. I don't know the prices as of today but you still can get a little money for signed rookie cards for say Michael Jordan and maybe even a signed Shaq rookie. I'd bet a signed Jr Seau rookie is up due to his passing. Man I really wish I would've saved and kept my Air Jordan shoes I had when I was younger. I had the first 7-8 pairs that came out. If I only knew wearing them then being dumb and throwing them away was a stupid thing to do. Some pairs are an easy $400 and first ones can get into the thousands.

I used to love going hunting for cards with my dad. Too bad those days are long gone. Stash your box sets in the closest for another 30 years

Base card set popularity has dropped off...if the card doesn't have an authentic piece of jersey/autograph, low serial numbers, or both it just isn't worth anything. I still collect Jerome Bettis cards and recently Panini has flood the market with autograph cards and jersey cards....prices are through the roof and it's just not 'fun' anymore. It's too bad that card collecting has essentially been ruined.

I have complete Topps sets from 87'-91' too...ain't worth jack. Some cards from this era are worth money but not many. I remember how popular it was growing up in the late 80's and early 90's then to see it get over saturated and the bottom fall out, or interest fade away. I keep mine (and many other cards) for sentimental reasons knowing they aren't and probably never will be worth squat. Just too many produced and people that don't throw them away, like 50's and 60's cards were.
