56 Chev ex-drag car stays in the family

Year is 1961. Guy buys this 265-powered 56 Chevy. Modifies it, drags it etc. Unrelated accident, he is killed in a car crash leaving behind his wife and 7 year old son. The mother hangs on to the car all these years and gives the car to her son to restore and drive. The son redoes the motor, interior and driveline but leaves the exterior as is. The mis-matched paint? Thats cuz dad had a little wreck in the car and repainted it himself in the garage..........in 1963. The paint is cracked, weathered, mismatched but who cares. The rag on the steering column? Dad used to toss the shop rag right there when they went out cruising the boulevards...when you stopped at the hangout, he'd grab the rag and dust the chrome off. Car still runs the 265 cu in V8 with an Isky solid, open headers on the street most of the time, 3-speed on the floor etc. Badass.
