New part = new problems

At least they are not recalling the entire engine/drivetrain/electronics systems like BMW with the 745i

I wonder what the problem is considering they are already utilizing the 3valve heads in the new F150s.

At least they are fixing the problem before they ship the cars - if you read cloely they will probably just delay the shipments a bit and fix this. Sucks though for people preordering

Oh ya GM or Mopar never had a problem like this. :wtf No kiddin'...like that time I got the recall on my Jeep because of the motor was WAY down on power, and clearly not making the advertised power...thus they put an all new 4.0 i6 in there.

No, wait. I just made that up. Never happened.

Remember, 05 mustang cobra = 500hp!! whats upYeah...just what the GT40 is with more displacement...and a 1/8th of the cost too! What is up?

I wonder what the problem is considering they are already utilizing the 3valve heads in the new F150s. To be honest, it sounds like a casting or machining defect probably causing weakness in a particulare area of the combustion chamber, leading to premature cracking/failure.

To be honest, it sounds like a casting or masterbating defect probably causing weakness in a testicular area of the combustion chamber, leading to premature ejaculating.

Yeah, but at least Ford is recalling them. Unlike GM and the piston slap in the early LS1. :goof

hahahah mine still slap, slap, slaparoo's yet with 35K on it :goof

I did take it in once for it when the car was new but got the infamous "they all do that, its normal" song and dance from holz, thats funny sh!t when those service writer guys like try and explain something they know nothing about, and actually think they are right and you can see right through it :loser

I know the early 5.3's had a slap also. GM has a bulliten out saying it's normal. It doesnt seem to have an effect on the life of the engine though. I just sold one with 110k on it and still ran perfect with the slap.

I get a tiny slap in the truck when I first start it... but that only came on when I went to synthetic oil. After about 30 seconds it stops (shrug).
