Blah, let's make a really fast SUV that is useless offroad. Wow, sounds really sweet. Their old LM002 was ugly, but at least it actually had function.

It is. To me it looks like an Aventador mated with a Land Rover Evoque and that was the offspring....But then again the Cayenne and the Panamera dont look all that good either.

I don't see many people in the market for a Lamborghini SUV going out duck hunting or off roading much further then the construction zone on the way to their favorite mall.

Wonder whose gonna be the first person to send one of these to UGR?

The real problem is that as a lambo owner, you really really really want to stand out...obnoxiously so. This SUV from most angles looks like most SUVs period. How different can one make an SUV?

That was kind of the beauty of the old LM002 was that it look like nothing before, and little has look even remotely close since. It was beyond distinct...as in, it really stood out. That it performed pretty darn okay on road and off-road (let's face it, it wasn't really all that great at either...it was really like owning a fast humvee/military vehicle)

This thing (the urus, a type of extinct large cattle (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aurochs) so keeping with the lamborghini tradition of having bulls or bullfighting related names), from a rear 3/4 view looks just like every recent SUV/crossover to come out from everywhere the last three years. From the front, it looks good and distinct of course...but not enough to distinguish the rest of the SUV from the rest of the field.

But the Jeep just looks so good :) I liked the LM002 as well...this thing...well....eh...could be worse.

The utility in an SUV isn't about off road capability. It's about capacity and towing. It's more closely related to a 60s era station wagon with a large V8 than let's say a Jeep CJ5
