Ran the same "n1 style" pieces on my bro's last 2 cars, very stiff but extremely adjustable and same quality as the hks type units that sell for double.

getting these direct from overseas is saving me over 1500 bucks and that is with 250 bucks in shipping. Normal spring rate is 15k / 12k... that's why I ordered them with a specific spring rate.

A pre owned set of CCW classics might be a cheaper alternative. That's if you don't mind cleaning and polishing them religiously. I just picked up a set for $1500.

The first ones pictured or the CCW's listed would be killer on that car. Mesh wheels look KILLER on RX-7's. The 6 spokes or more are overplayed throughout the ricer market I'd stay away from those IMO.

Ya dude that is FOR SURE the same company we contacted when we setup the last car, and we will be getting them for my bros 350z. IIRC they make coil overs for 3-4 of the "big" companies that have them anodized and re-branded.

as for wheels, I like the fatter 6-spoke wheels cuz I like to see some brakes....but the Works are pretty sick

Not sure what you mean by the 3-4 "big" companies. This *may* be true for entry level off-the-shelf coilovers (which work pretty well for street cars / non-competition race).

But I do want to make a point that the high end coilovers (Penske, Moton, Ohlin, etc.) are not made by these people. $1000 "N1 style" coilovers are certainly not the same as say triple adjustable Motons.

hahaha, i love the name on the letter. Lydia. It's like getting a "Steve" on Dell tech support.

Anyways, I'm liking the ES332, just if you can do straight polished, not the hyper black.

A bit on the cheaper side, but one of my favorite wheels and the ones i would have wanted to put on the STI - Enkei NT03+M (as long as it is the setup has a lip/dish to it, not the flat face)

obviously not the bright ass orange

These are the hot ticket according alot of drivers on the club. You can spend more money but it doesn't necessarily make your car handle any better. Every platform is different. I don't want to sacrifice streetability and still want something that handles track duty well.

Fair enough. If you think your $1000 coilovers are the same stuff as a high end coilovers more power to you.

For kicks, next time you are a the runoffs or something go checkout the Porsche, Vette, RX7, etc. GT cars and see how many of them run the "N1 style" coilover.

As I stated before. For a decent coilover designed for primarily a street car, that maybe races non-competitively they will work just fine. I'm not trying to dog the setup at all... hell I have the stock (Lotus Sport) Bilstiens on my car and it doesn't bother me as it's not a competitive race car. However to say my shocks or a $1000 coil over is the same quality, let alone function, as a high end coilover is just not true. Period.

I believe those are adv wheels. Couple different people make them and if anything - an 18" wheel without a lip (ie concave) will look larger.

Dave, a lot of coilovers come with really ridiculous spring rates like 15k/12k
I ordered with 10kg/8kg which is just a touch more above stock 8kg/6kg. Coilovers also provide me more inside clearance for wider rims (11inch), which is what I intend on running if I buy forged wheels otherwise a more readily available 10.5".

I want to run a 315 tire on the rear and run it "square", which would be a 11 inch rim. 10.5 is natively a 295 tire. Running a square tire will give the best performance. No stretch and poke for me.

To get a 315/30/18 to fit on the inside, I need coilovers. Plus I am replacing shocks and springs that are nearing 20 years old.

Ya I should qualify my statement of "big" company. What I mean is that companies like HKS, Apex'I, basically any brand that you see on the "callout" on an import...are made all by 1 or 2 factories in different colors.

Moton, Ohlins etc completely different story....I guess I consider the "competition" stuff in a seperate league.

Found some real world pics of these 3.3.1 (18's). I think I am going to go with these. Seems like the resale on them is pretty good to.

Buying these would save me at minimum $3000 over anything else I would choose. It is a compromise for not having forged/authentic wheels though.
