I had three friends that were in it. First off, my friend Danny had a Cavalier in it. It was number 8 and was painted up to look like Dale Jr.'s car. He broke a half shaft, so he was out. Another friend had a 1991 Pontiac Grand Prix. He stalled out after about 5 minutes in the first heat. It turned out that a fuel line inside the tank fell off. We fixed it and had it going in the finals but it fell off again and started to spray gas where the back seat was. The last one was an Oldsmobile custom cruiser wagon that was painted up to look like a 1984 Hurst/Olds. It was silver on top, black on the bottom, with a red stripe between the silver and black. He took some great hits, but the last hit he took, was on the rear passenger side. He was hit hard enough that the frame cracked and the passenger side frame rail was dragging on the ground.

Although none of us won, it was great working on the cars, and we'll do better next year.

Sounds like fun! I always wanted to enter a derby...maybe my beater 87' Cavalier before its retired :). That or an Enduro race for 4 cylinders...

Using a Cav with larger cars is pretty crazy....even a FWD Grand Prix :stare .

I was there, and I remember both of those cars.

If I had a shitty car at my disposal, I'd definatly do the powder puff competition. I think that one was a little dissapointing.

I think I was most impressed with the Dicemans old Caddy that took such a beating and somehow kicked ass against all those heavyweights.

diceman would of had a better car had he bent the rear of his car up to begin with that way he wouldnt have plowed dirt like every heavyweight there was like this
