Car looks pretty decent for a starting platform to build off of if needed

How about swap them for 97-98 tailights, they look better

I am all for that!!! I dig the 96-98 tail lights. If you find some Canadian versions, they have amber turn signals.

Some sn95 purists think that's blasphemy!

It will last a while as long as he isn't speed shifting it, especially into third.

My Strim car with the Boss block 347 made over 500whp & TQ and had no issues with the T5
of course traction was minimum, it would spin the tires in 4th gear at 60mph....
The only way I think it will break is if I speed shift like stated or get it to hook at
the track... It is going to be a driver so none of that will be happening. If it does break
I would put in a Tremec or Gforce....

If it does break I would put in a T-56.

Fixed ;)

5 Speed has less gears to shift and the final drive is about the same.
I would stick with a 5 Spd, 1 less shift save time

Got the car home safe and sound. It seemed to run a little hot. After doing some research
I found out the factory temp for turning on the fan is 208* low & 226* for high. So running
at 215* or so wasn't bad.

I put a 160* Thermostat in, and am going to take it for a ride in a litttle while to see what it runs at.
Idling it stayed right at 180* and the fan never came on.

94/95 do run a little hot, I put in a fan switch in mine to keep it in check until I had it tuned and had the points turned down.

I thought about doing the same thing.
Putting a switch to turn on highspeed,
incase I get stuck in traffic or something
like that. My car does have a tuning system
called Quarter Horse, I would need to download
the progam to use it. But for now the car runs
just fine and temp stays in specs even today
cruising in 1st gear.
Also got my new Mishimoto Radiator yesterday.
This thing is beautiful for $225 I don't think you
could find a better radiator. Not going to install it right
now but if I run into an more cooling issues it will be
put in.
