The basics: 2000 grand prix 3.8 v6. Noise is speed related not rpm, starts about 25-30 mph and goes away when I turn left at speed with the steering wheel turned to at least 10 o'clock. I have an idea as to what it is but would like to hear some suggestions. Thanks. And I haven't had any time to jack the car up to look at it.

My first guess is a wheel bearing

Plus the fact that it goes away when you turn and put tension on it

Agreed with the above sounds like a wheel bearing to me.

w-body wheel bearings are easy enough to do. Axle nut is a 29mm, and three bolts on the back of the spindle hold the bearing assembly in place. Difficult part may be separating the hub/bearing assembly with the knuckle if corrosion is built up in there.

Thats kind of what I thought it was too. I think I may still have a set from my last grand prix sitting around. Thanks

Very common and just get a new timkin from rockauto there cheap enough also make sure to torque the axle nut to spec.
