Hey guys, I'm in need of someone to machine my atv's wet clutch drum Saturday. It basically looks like a car brake drum about 6" diameter with a 12" splined shaft from the center. It's to clean up the grooves left from the wet clutch shoes. Someone with a lathe should be able to machine it in 30 mins. Any help would be appreciated and will pay for your time.

This is what the part looks like.

Thanks Keith.

so, I'm not trying to thread crap but might it be cheaper and easier to replace it with the one you listed?

No because that one has grooves as well. I had the seller send more pics. OEM is $200. Over time the grooves will develop due to the wet clutch slipping. The process to clean up the surface is the same as maching a brake drum. Not hard at all, I just don't have a lathe.

Find a local shop with a brake lathe. I know many shops no longer have lathes but finding a shop with one shouldn't be that hard.....

Some of the local auto parts stores still turn drums. Call around. I believe i remember seeing a sight at Oreilly on 60th & Oklahoma saying they do it.

we have a lathe and could more than likely do this, but it wont happen this weekend. If you would like to drop it off monday,we could get it done by the end of the day for you.
