What is the performance difference between the stock and Ford Racing 3V intake? Nice job on the upgrades! :D

The 3V racing intake takes advantage of the range above 5800 rpm whereas the stock intake was designed for the stock powerband/redline. When you ask what type of "numbers" the intake adds, it's all a function of where your bottleneck limits you.

In Coops case, he has an aftermarket block and a Vortech, not sure on heads and valves, but with some FRPP heads and a valve job you can wing these things up to 7500 rpm and some I've seen up to 8200 rpm.

With the aftermarket starting to catch up on modular 3V Ford V8s, should be a bunch of "bolt on" power available shortly. I know the new 3V package (Heads, cams, intake w/cmd, tb, and tune) is said to be good for 365 rwhp with a set of long-tubes. That's in the Eaton M90 Roush range of 2005.

I think with Todd's tires, Coops car is going to be a sight to see at RA this spring.
